Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in Doral, FL, is seeking a highly motivated Immigration Attorney with experience in USCIS and USCIS-related immigration cases. Conducting consultations with potential new clients and collaborating closely with the firm’s attorneys and paralegals. This role requires a strong commitment to client service and effective project management skills, as the attorney will handle complex immigration matters while meeting tight deadlines.

Duties:

  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients.
  • Manage a diverse workload of immigration cases, ensuring timely preparation of applications.
  • Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to determine necessary strategies.
  • Develop and prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews.
  • Provide legal analysis to identify potential benefits for clients’ cases.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration matters.
  • Coordinate legal strategies with team members and manage case filings.
  • Research unique legal issues and stay updated on relevant legislative changes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by firm partners.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School (required).
  • Active Bar License in Good Standing from any U.S. State or territory (DC, Puerto Rico).
  • Fluent in Spanish (required).
  • 1-4 years of Immigration Experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions.
  • Proficient in legal research.
