Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney

A law firm in Greenwich, CT, is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney with extensive experience in both domestic and international trademark law. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement, and portfolio management, and will play a pivotal role in advising clients on intellectual property matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic trademark counseling, including conducting clearance searches, analysis, prosecution, and maintenance of trademarks.
• Develop and execute trademark enforcement strategies, handling trademark disputes, internet and e-commerce issues, and online investigations.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate agreements and contractual provisions related to intellectual property and trademarks.
• Manage intellectual property due diligence processes for transactions, as well as litigation discovery related to trademark disputes.
• Represent clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) as needed.
• Advise on trademark portfolio management and maintenance strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in good standing in Connecticut.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience specializing in trademark law, with a strong background in trademark prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management.
• Proven track record in structuring and negotiating IP agreements.
• Experience in managing IP due diligence and handling litigation discovery in trademark disputes.
• Comprehensive understanding of domestic and international trademark laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
• Strong technical proficiency in trademark law and related intellectual property matters.
• Exceptional client service skills with a focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships.
