Associate Attorney needed for Sacramento office

A law firm in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join their civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in handling day-to-day civil litigation tasks, including drafting motions, arguing law and motion matters, taking depositions, and managing court and trial responsibilities. Proficiency in legal research, exceptional negotiation skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and file legal motions and pleadings in civil litigation cases.
• Argue motions and represent clients in law and motion matters before the court.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Prepare and manage court documents, including trial briefs, evidence, and exhibits.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and advocate for clients' interests.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure effective case management and resolution.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements

• Significant experience in civil litigation, including drafting motions, arguing law and motion matters, taking depositions, and handling court and trial responsibilities.
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
