Duties:

Trusts & Estates:

  • Represent clients in the estate planning process, providing tailored legal advice and solutions.
  • Draft estate planning and trust administration documents.
  • Assist clients with trust funding and offer legal guidance on asset management.
  • Handle Surrogate’s Court filings, ensuring compliance with court processes and deadlines.
  • Manage trust and probate administration matters, meeting deadlines and client expectations.

Real Estate:

  • Represent clients in property purchases and sales, reviewing contracts and documentation.
  • Provide legal advice on real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft real estate documents, including purchase agreements, deeds, and contracts.
  • Manage title insurance underwriting, curative processes, and claims related to real estate transactions.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations related to real estate matters to advise clients appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active New York State Bar admission (required).
  • 0-3 years of experience in Trusts & Estates and/or Real Estate law, including internships or clerkships.
  • Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and respond promptly to client needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills to provide reliable and timely legal advice.
  • Commitment to the legal profession and a teamwork-oriented approach.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York (required).
