Duties:

• Evaluate incoming cases, create action plans, set budgets, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Oversee the drafting and filing of pleadings; delegate tasks to paralegals when necessary.
• Draft discovery responses and manage the production of documents.
• Attend and actively participate in depositions, hearings, and other legal events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements and prepare for trial, if applicable.
• Collaborate regularly with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure smooth case progression.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of litigation experience, ideally in insurance defense.
• Licensed to practice law in Mississippi.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; willingness to learn new software systems.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Mississippi Bar.
