Job Overview: A law firm seeks a detail-oriented and experienced Estate Planning and Probate Associate Attorney to join its growing practice in Beverly, MA. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to help them navigate estate planning, probate/estate administration, and elder law matters. Duties:

  • Draft and prepare comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, healthcare proxies, and revocable/irrevocable trusts.
  • Conduct client meetings, providing expert advice on estate planning strategies and guiding clients through the process.
  • Advise clients with moderate to high-net-worth estates on legal and financial matters related to estate planning, tax issues, and elder law.
  • Conduct legal and tax research to provide accurate, up-to-date counsel.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and staff to manage cases efficiently and meet client expectations.
  • Oversee multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring open client files are regularly reviewed and cases progress toward completion.
  • Maintain timely and clear communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
  • Record billable time and prepare client invoices.
  • Build trust and maintain professionalism when representing the firm in client interactions and external engagements.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in estate planning, probate/estate administration, and elder law.
  • Experience with Medicaid applications and knowledge of Wealth Counsel (preferred).
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to precision in legal work.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and work both independently and collaboratively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • LL.M. in Taxation (preferred but not required).

Certifications:

  • An active member of the Massachusetts State Bar.
