A law firm in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a skilled Real Estate Closing Attorney to manage residential and commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will be a member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar, with experience in closing real estate transactions. This role requires overseeing transactions, reviewing titles, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring a professional client experience.

Duties:

  • Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances.
  • Review and analyze title documents to ensure accuracy and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth real estate transactions.
  • Draft and/or review loan documents, including contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Deliver a professional and engaging experience to clients, addressing any lingering questions or concerns they may have.
  • Review disbursement ledgers and sign checks for transactions.
  • Develop, cultivate, and grow business relationships for the firm.
  • Conduct training sessions for potential clients in relevant areas of real estate law.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Preferably has experience in closing real estate transactions, with a focus on residential real estate.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law and related documentation.
  • Excellent and prompt verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues, and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • South Carolina State Bar membership (in good standing).
