The attorney will handle multiple cases, manage regulatory and compliance matters, and act as the primary contact for litigation and client counseling.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Manage and litigate cases related to managed care and health care issues, ensuring thorough preparation and representation.
  • Client Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing legal advice, coordinating case activities, and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee and handle regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring all actions adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Legal Research and Documentation: Conduct comprehensive legal research, draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Litigation Strategy: Develop and execute effective litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Representation: Represent clients in court, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with other associates and staff to manage cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Legal Updates: Stay informed about changes in managed care and health care regulations to provide up-to-date legal counsel.

Requirements

  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Certification: Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in law firm or relevant in-house settings, focusing on complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Specialization: Managed care or health care experience is required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple cases and manage regulatory or compliance matters.
    • Proven client counseling and case management capabilities.
