A law firm in New Castle, DE, is seeking a talented Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will defend insured and self-insured clients in high exposure cases across various areas of general liability. This role requires strong analytical and research capabilities, excellent written communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a comfort level with oral advocacy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defend insured and self-insured clients in high exposure general liability cases.
  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including overseeing discovery processes.
  • Participate actively in hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and refine legal arguments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Delaware.
  • 1-4 years of litigation practice experience in Delaware.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct detailed legal research.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and environments.
  • Comfort with oral advocacy and presenting arguments in court.

Preferred Certifications:
