Civil Litigation Defense Attorney

A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Defense Attorney to join its team in Lake Forest, CA. This position offers the chance to develop trial experience by representing clients, including companies and municipalities, in a range of civil litigation defense matters. The role requires strong litigation skills and provides opportunities for courtroom advocacy in a supportive, collaborative environment. A hybrid work option is available.

Duties:

• Provide comprehensive legal support to clients and collaborate with partners on case strategies.
• Manage and maintain client relationships, ensuring regular updates and clear communication.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, reports, and correspondence.
• Conduct and defend depositions as part of the discovery process.
• Advise clients on business and legal transactions, providing insight into potential risks and outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements in legal disputes, advocating for client interests.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in civil litigation defense, including case management, legal research, and courtroom advocacy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to craft effective legal strategies.
• Familiarity with legal documentation and procedures in civil litigation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and maintain client relationships.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar license in California.
