Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a passionate and self-motivated Litigation Attorney to join its team in Santa Ana, CA. This full-time, hybrid position is ideal for an attorney with a strong interest in civil litigation, particularly in plaintiff's side personal injury, employment, and housing cases. The firm offers a collaborative environment where attorneys are encouraged to grow their skills while helping clients navigate critical legal matters. The role offers remote work flexibility with occasional in-person meetings and court appearances required.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including personal injury, employment disputes, and housing cases.
• Manage cases from intake through trial, ensuring thorough preparation and organization.
• Participate in case proceedings such as depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Regularly update clients on case status and address any concerns or inquiries.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Demonstrate strong advocacy in trial settings, including articulating arguments and presenting evidence.
• Seek out assignments proactively, offering suggestions and solutions to team members.
• Collaborate with colleagues, providing support and feedback to ensure successful case outcomes.
• Attend court hearings and client meetings as needed, including travel to various locations.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on plaintiff's side matters preferred.
• Proven track record of managing cases independently, including preparing for trials and hearings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep track of multiple case assignments.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when working with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft concise and informative updates.
• Ability to think critically and offer solutions to complex legal challenges.
• Self-starter, eager to learn and improve legal expertise.
• Must be available to work remotely but capable of attending in-person meetings and court hearings when necessary.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Google Drive, Dropbox, and PowerPoint.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and legal research skills.
