A law firm seeks a dedicated Attorney to join its team in Albany, NY. This full-time position provides an exciting opportunity to represent injured workers in their workers' compensation claims. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing compassionate and professional legal services, with experience in case management, administrative hearings, and legal writing. Duties:

  • Client Representation: Attend hearings on behalf of injured workers, representing their interests in workers' compensation claims.
  • Medical Depositions: Participate in medical depositions, collaborating with medical experts to build strong cases.
  • Legal Research and Writing: Conduct legal research and draft essential legal documents, including appeals, rebuttals, memoranda of law, briefs, and other filings.
  • Case Management: Manage all aspects of client cases, including frequent client contact and updates throughout the litigation process.
  • Litigation Support: Provide support throughout the litigation process, from initial client contact to final case resolution.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the New York State Bar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and handle client communications effectively.
  • Passion for client service and a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active New York State Bar membership.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, experts, and other legal professionals.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
  • Experience with workers' compensation law, social security claims, and litigation is preferred.
