Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Job Overview: A well-established law firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in defense litigation, specifically in the areas of Labor & Employment, Healthcare, General Liability, and/or HOA litigation. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, handling cases from start to finish while gaining exposure to a variety of legal matters.

Duties:

  • Independently manage a diverse defense litigation caseload.
  • Represent clients in Labor & Employment, Healthcare, General Liability, or HOA litigation.
  • Regularly attend and participate in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Communicate with clients to keep them informed and provide strategic advice.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on case strategies and litigation tactics.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • An active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
  • A minimum of 3 years of defense litigation experience in the relevant areas.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and case management software.
