Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Insurance Recovery Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This role involves representing policyholders in various aspects of insurance recovery, including policy analysis, claim advocacy, dispute resolution, and litigation in both domestic and international forums. The ideal candidate will possess a strong litigation background and a keen ability to navigate complex insurance matters.

Duties:

• Analyze insurance policies and assess claims and coverage disputes

• Provide strategic advice to clients regarding claim presentation and resolution

• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

• Handle discovery, including document production and depositions

• Advocate in court proceedings and arbitration hearings

• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in complex litigation and/or arbitration

• Prior experience representing policyholders in insurance coverage matters preferred

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with federal and state court rules, including E-Discovery

• Ability to manage multiple cases and serve as the lead associate on litigation matters

• Motion practice, deposition, and courtroom experience required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar
