Job Title: Evictions Attorney

Job Overview:
An established law firm located in Mercer Island, WA, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team, primarily managing eviction cases. The ideal candidate will bring legal expertise, a proactive approach, and a commitment to client service. Prior experience with eviction litigation is advantageous, though not essential.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of eviction matters, providing strategic legal advice to clients.
• Conduct legal research and draft essential legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
• Represent clients in court hearings; previous courtroom experience is a plus.
• Remain current on changes and trends in eviction law across the United States.
• Educate clients on relevant eviction law updates and best practices.

Requirements:

• Licensed Attorney and active member of the California State Bar (additional Bar licenses preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience practicing law, with preference given to those with a background in eviction, foreclosure, litigation, or title.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Member of the California State Bar in good standing.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and client advisory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Competency in using case management software and Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, with self-motivation and a collaborative spirit.
