Duties:

• Draft and respond to discovery requests and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and assist with drafting motions, complaints, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions in personal injury cases.
• Attend State and Federal court hearings as required.
• Assist the Lead Attorney in managing a heavy caseload, ensuring deadlines are met, and cases move forward promptly.
• Prepare for and assist in Second Chair Trials.
• Represent clients in various personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip & falls, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and more.
• Investigate and prepare claim demands to insurance companies in multiple states.
• Negotiate and settle disputes with insurance companies.
• Prepare and file civil lawsuits on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in California (CA).
• Ability to manage strict deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong legal research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Legal research and writing.
• Negotiation and settlement skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip & fall, medical malpractice, and insurance disputes.
