Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a passionate and dedicated Personal Injury Attorney to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury law, particularly in motor vehicle accident cases, and a strong commitment to client care and legal excellence. This role offers a dynamic and supportive work environment where the attorney will manage cases from start to finish, negotiate settlements, and contribute to a growing, collaborative firm.

Location:

  • Baraboo, WI

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of motor vehicle accident cases, from client intake to settlement.
  • Provide guidance and build trust with plaintiff clients throughout the legal process.
  • Conduct discovery, legal research, and pre-suit discovery to support cases.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and lien holders to secure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain constant communication with internal teams and provide direction.
  • Work with expert witnesses, obtain expert reports, and prepare affidavits.
  • Draft pleadings, write briefs, and assist in discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.

Requirements:

  • Active member in good standing with the Wisconsin Bar; license to practice law in Minnesota is preferred but not required.
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience, with a focus on motor vehicle/automobile liability preferred.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases effectively.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, driven by long-term career goals.
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to dynamic legal challenges.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Wisconsin (and Minnesota preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of personal injury law and motor vehicle accident cases.
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and litigation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills.
