A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney with a background in personal injury litigation to join its Fort Worth, TX office. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload in both state and federal courts, working within a supportive team environment that values professionalism, integrity, and open communication.

Duties:

  • Handle a substantial caseload focused primarily on defense litigation.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations with attention to detail.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions of parties and witnesses.
  • Participate in mediations and represent clients at court appearances.
  • Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, and opposing counsel.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Texas.
  • Additional court admissions are advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting motions, pleadings, and memoranda.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective advocacy.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
