Job Overview: A law firm located in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to manage a diverse caseload involving all aspects of family law. The ideal candidate will handle cases such as divorce, child custody, adoption, and more while demonstrating strong legal acumen and excellent organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, adoption, protection from abuse, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, child support, and spousal support.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information to build strong cases.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates on case progress, and address client inquiries.
  • Organize and maintain case files and documents for easy access and reference.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, and court appearances.
  • Prepare clients for negotiations and court proceedings to ensure they are well-informed and ready.
  • Conduct trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists to support the case effectively.
  • Represent clients in all phases of family law matters, from initial consultations to court proceedings.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as an attorney, preferably with a focus on family law or relevant litigation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures and regulations or a willingness and ability to learn.
  • Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Familiarity with negotiation and litigation processes in family law cases.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania.
