Job Overview: A law firm seeks an enthusiastic Associate Attorney to join its Phoenix office, specializing in personal injury law. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys, providing critical legal support and representing clients through all stages of the litigation process. Duties:

  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to strategize and handle legal matters for personal injury plaintiffs.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, depositions, motions, and briefs to support case strategies.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with clients, providing updates, legal advice, and responding to inquiries.
  • Manage and move forward assigned cases efficiently, ensuring timely progress from intake to resolution.
  • Provide mentorship and training to pre-litigation case managers and support staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Review, analyze, and summarize legal documents to assist in case development.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the legal team and the firm’s operations.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona and good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
  • 0-2 years of experience in personal injury law or a strong interest in pursuing a career in this field.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of work accurately.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Westlaw or other legal research tools.
  • Reliable and dependable with a commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of work.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Arizona State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team of legal professionals.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
