Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated and bilingual Immigration Associate Attorney to join its team in Berkeley, CA. Duties:

  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain organized case notes and records using case management software.
  • Manage an independent caseload while offering support to the lead attorney and colleagues.
  • Contribute to team-building and professional development activities.
  • Track case progress, meet goals and coordinate with team members on client matters.
  • Engage in marketing and community outreach activities to support the firm’s mission.
  • Assist in improving office systems, policies, and procedures for greater efficiency.
  • Analyze data to enhance the quality of services and client management.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience practicing immigration law (or a combined 4+ years in immigration and other legal areas).
  • Fluency in both spoken and written Spanish is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of immigration law, with the ability to guide clients through complex legal issues.
  • Experience managing a caseload independently and working collaboratively within a legal team.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability and resilience in navigating the changing landscape of immigration laws and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in good standing.
