A law firm seeks an experienced and highly skilled Plaintiff Trial Attorney to join their legal team in Irving, TX. Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex personal injury cases, including those with substantial insurance coverage ($1M+).
  • Manage cases through all phases of litigation, from initial filing to trial.
  • Collaborate with support staff to build strong cases and maintain thorough case files.
  • Conduct detailed legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and other essential documents.
  • Prepare and present compelling arguments in court, including making opening and closing statements.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance companies to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed of case progress and developments.
  • Ensure that all legal and ethical standards are upheld throughout case management.
  • Participate in firm events and community outreach programs, contributing to the firm’s culture of giving back.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in handling high-value personal injury cases, especially those involving complex litigation.
  • Strong trial experience, with a successful history of presenting cases in court.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to argue effectively in court.
  • Negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable settlements.
  • A self-driven, proactive approach to case development and client management.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to client service and justice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

Certifications:

  • Membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
