Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on insurance recovery. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, excellent academic credentials, and the ability to handle complex legal issues related to insurance disputes.

Job Details:

• Represent clients in litigation matters with a focus on insurance recovery.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and execution.
• Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and addressing inquiries.
• Assist in settlement negotiations and mediation efforts.
• Participate in business development activities, including client meetings and networking events.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited, top-tier law school.
• Member in good standing of the Florida Bar or eligible to sit for the Florida Bar; barred in another state is advantageous.
• 1-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on insurance recovery.
• Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Extensive substantive research and writing experience.
• Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Superior academic credentials.
