A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Real Estate Associate to join their Transactional Practice Group in Providence, RI. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively with a team of professionals to represent developers, investors, and lenders in high-stakes commercial real estate matters.

Duties:

  • Independently handle key components of commercial real estate transactions.
  • Manage and support the negotiation and drafting of acquisition, disposition, leasing, and financing agreements.
  • Work with developers, investors, and lenders on a wide range of complex real estate projects.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to provide strategic legal guidance for clients.
  • Advise clients on legal issues related to real estate, including due diligence, regulatory compliance, and contract disputes.
  • Prepare and review real estate documents and agreements, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
  • Provide high-quality legal services with attention to detail and client-focused solutions.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
  • Proven ability to handle complex real estate transactions independently.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law, including regulatory compliance and transactional matters.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Strong academic credentials and a commitment to excellence.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to both the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Bar Associations.

Skills:

  • Exceptional skills in negotiating and drafting real estate transactions.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate law and lending practices.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a busy caseload.
