Job Overview:

A law firm located in Jacksonville, FL is currently seeking a driven and experienced attorney to join its family law practice. The ideal candidate will bring both compassion and litigation experience to guide individuals and families through complex legal challenges. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity to work within a supportive and mission-focused environment where legal expertise meets client advocacy.

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law cases involving divorce, parenting plans, support obligations, and asset division.

• Handle courtroom appearances, mediations, and pre-trial conferences with professionalism and confidence.

• Prepare legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial documents.

• Provide legal counsel tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in a manner that aligns with the client’s goals.

• Maintain consistent and transparent communication with clients throughout case progression.

• Manage multiple active matters while meeting firm expectations for productivity and quality.

• Collaborate with legal staff and other attorneys to ensure effective case handling and firm success.

Requirements:

• Admitted to the Florida Bar and in good standing.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing family law, including courtroom litigation.

• Proven ability to manage sensitive family matters with discretion and empathy.

• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

• Capable of handling complex casework independently while also functioning well within a team.

• Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Florida Bar License (required).

• Additional mediation or collaborative law certifications are considered a plus.

Skills:

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits.

• Problem-solving mindset with a strategic approach to legal advocacy.

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish is advantageous but not required.

• Comfortable with legal technologies, including document automation and calendaring tools.
