Duties:

• Defend workers' compensation claims, including cross-examining physicians and deposing applicants
• Attend hearings and depositions
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as motions and briefs
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in workers' compensation matters
• Manage cases independently and work remotely

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation defense and claims management
• Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
• Knowledge of employee benefits and insurance policies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proven negotiation abilities
• Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines independently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California
