Mid-level Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly motivated mid-level Litigation Associate with at least 5 years of experience to join a growing litigation practice group. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling commercial litigation matters, taking and defending depositions, and managing cases through discovery and trial preparation. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases in a collaborative, client-focused environment. A Missouri law license is required, and candidates licensed in both Missouri and Illinois are preferred.

Location:

• St. Louis, Missouri

Duties:

• Manage litigation cases from inception through discovery and trial preparation.
• Attend depositions, settlement conferences, and hearings.
• Prepare motions, discovery responses, and client reports.
• Assist with trial preparation, including strategy, discovery, records review, client interviews, and witness preparation.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience handling commercial litigation matters.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Proven track record of managing litigation cases through all phases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Missouri law license required.
• Illinois law license is preferred.
