A law firm based in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a highly skilled Bankruptcy/Restructuring Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in handling complex Chapter 11 cases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background and excellent written and oral communication skills. Additional experience in handling complex workouts and restructurings, particularly in the automotive and mobility industry, would be beneficial.

 

Job Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, including debtors, secured creditors, official committees, and unsecured creditors.
  • Manage negotiations, settlements, and litigation arising from bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Provide strategic guidance and legal counsel to clients throughout the bankruptcy process.
  • Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and professionals on case matters.
  • Utilize expertise in handling complex workouts and restructurings, with a focus on the automotive and mobility industry when applicable.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in Pennsylvania.
  • 3-5 years of experience in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.
  • Prior experience representing debtors, secured creditors, official committees, and unsecured creditors.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar.
