Associate Attorney needed for Baton Rouge office

Job Overview
A respected law firm is seeking to hire a licensed Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience, including judicial law clerk experience. This full-time, in-person position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of cases in a dynamic, AV-rated firm. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and a passion for legal practice.

Duties

• Assist with a variety of legal cases, providing support to senior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Participate in case strategy development and client consultations.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with colleagues on case management and legal issues.
• Maintain up-to-date case files and documentation.

Requirements

• 0-5 years of legal experience, including judicial law clerk experience.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be admitted to practice law in Louisiana (or eligible for admission).

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Louisiana Bar License (or eligibility for licensure).
