A law firm seeks a skilled Family Law Attorney with a strong background in Texas family law to join its team in Austin, TX. Duties:

  • Independently manage family law cases from start to finish, ensuring clients receive expert guidance and attention.
  • Provide top-notch customer service to clients, including monthly status reports and weekly reviews of case progress.
  • Actively participate in hearings, mediations, consultations, and court proceedings as necessary.
  • Make recommendations for improvement to practice managers based on case outcomes and feedback.
  • Track case performance and client satisfaction using practice quality software and key performance metrics.
  • Utilize legal software (e.g., Clio, TxDoc) for client billing, drafting, and other case management needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and enhance client service.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience practicing family law in Texas, with 5+ years preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage cases independently, from consultation to resolution.
  • Strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
  • Comfortable conducting hearings, participating in mediations, and providing expert consultations.
  • Knowledge of family law software such as Clio and TxDoc or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and maintain client satisfaction through regular communication and updates.
  • Strong work ethic with a client-centered approach to legal practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Texas Bar admission is required.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Texas.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Texas family law and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain legal concepts to clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-based, client-focused environment.
  • Proficient in legal software (Clio, TxDoc, etc.) for billing, case management, and documentation.
