Job Overview:

The Insurance Defense Attorney will handle a caseload of insurance coverage matters and general insurance defense litigation. They must work effectively both independently and as part of a legal team, demonstrating a commitment to meeting clients' unique needs.

Duties:

• Assist on a caseload comprising insurance coverage and general insurance defense litigation.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff to achieve favorable client outcomes.
• Demonstrate a solid attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant case law and statutes.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in insurance defense.
• Prior experience handling insurance coverage matters is preferred.
• Proficiency in handling appearances and assignments with minimal supervision.
• Licensed to practice law in Colorado; additional licensure in other states is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality legal representation.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
