Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a skilled Family Law Associate Attorney to join its team in Fayetteville, GA. This is a hybrid position offering a great work-life balance while collaborating with a supportive and experienced team. The ideal candidate will have strong legal experience in family law, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to client satisfaction. This role involves client representation, legal research, case management, and document preparation.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice to clients.
  • Prepare and edit legal documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and legal proceedings.
  • Assist clients in resolving family law conflicts through effective solutions.
  • Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Maintain up-to-date case files and ensure all legal documentation is current and accessible.
  • Meet monthly billable hour targets.
  • Participate in case strategy meetings and collaborate with senior associates and other attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Active Georgia Bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law (probate experience is a plus).
  • Experience using legal case management tools such as MyCase, Clio Manage, and Peach Court.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases from start to finish.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate case files and ensure timely case progression.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Georgia State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with legal case management software (MyCase, Clio Manage).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on client relations.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage complex legal documentation.
