Job Overview:

A reputable law firm based in Dallas, TX, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Immigration Attorney to provide legal services to both detained and non-detained immigrants. The role primarily involves representing clients in immigration cases, providing strategic counsel, and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements in the immigration process.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on the most effective strategies for resolving their immigration cases.
  • Communicate consistently with clients throughout their immigration process.
  • Review and revise applications and petitions prepared by legal assistants to ensure accuracy before submission to government agencies.
  • Prepare clients and represent them in USCIS interviews.
  • Handle Freedom of Information Act requests and ensure they are accurate and appropriate.
  • Maintain records, applications, and required documentation as per procedural guidelines and deadlines.
  • Stay updated on immigration laws and policies through continuous education, webinars, and staff training.
  • Perform other related legal duties with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Active and valid bar license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to serve clients in a professional, efficient, and welcoming manner.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to grasp technical and legal information quickly.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with Texas Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a collaborative environment.
