Duties:

  • Guide clients in developing data protection strategies and risk mitigation plans.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay informed of developments in privacy law and regulatory changes, providing timely updates to clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, IT, and compliance, to address privacy-related issues.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports, presentations, and legal memoranda, communicating complex issues in an understandable manner.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in privacy law, with a focus on transactional work.
  • Strong background in drafting and negotiating privacy and data protection clauses in contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a high-demand environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal matters to clients in clear, practical terms.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the state where the candidate resides.

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating privacy agreements and data security provisions.
