A law firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking a Social Security Disability Attorney with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and preferably 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will represent clients at disability hearings, prepare and file appeals, review medical records, and negotiate with Social Security Administration representatives to secure favorable outcomes for clients.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients at disability hearings before Administrative Law Judges, providing compelling arguments and presenting evidence to support their claims.
  • Prepare and file appeals on behalf of clients whose initial claims have been denied, guiding them through the appeals process.
  • Review medical records, gather evidence, and assess the strength of client's disability claims against current social security disability rules and regulations.
  • Negotiate with Social Security Administration representatives to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission and good standing with the Nevada State Bar (preferred).
  • Computer literacy involving a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Nevada State Bar (preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to review and analyze medical records and other evidence.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

 

Experience:

2 years of experience as a Social Security Disability Attorney is preferred.
