Job Title:
Real Estate Attorney

Job Overview:
A growing law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Real Estate Attorney to oversee various aspects of real estate transactions. The attorney will manage the entire closing process, from title search and review to the final funding and disbursements. This position is ideal for professionals with experience in real estate law and a passion for client interaction and detailed legal work.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and analyze real estate closing documents, including purchase and sale agreements, closing statements, and loan documents.

  • Review property titles and collaborate with title agencies to secure title insurance, as well as issue commitments and policies for clients.

  • Communicate with clients, brokers, and lenders throughout the closing process.

  • Lead and conduct closing ceremonies for real estate transactions.

  • Provide oversight and support for staff development.

Requirements:

  • Active South Carolina License to Practice Law (North Carolina license is a plus).

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate closings and South Carolina real estate law.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and advise on complex legal and business documents.

  • High level of professionalism and reasoning ability.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in South Carolina (North Carolina Bar membership preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in real estate law, including property title review and closing processes.

  • Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
