Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm based in Fort Lee, NJ, is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to handle a diverse caseload in the New Jersey and New York area. This role involves independently defending and managing cases from inception through trial. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and trial experience, working closely with clients to achieve successful results.

Duties:

• Independently manage a full caseload of litigation matters from inception to trial.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
• Develop and present legal strategies on behalf of clients.
• Draft complex pleadings, discovery materials, depositions, motions, and briefs.
• Provide timely and effective legal advice and services to clients.
• Communicate effectively with courts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
• Prepare and present witnesses and evidence in trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Ensure prompt and efficient resolution of assigned cases.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years of litigation experience, with demonstrable trial experience.
• Extensive experience in managing cases independently through trial.
• Strong communication skills to evaluate cases and represent clients in various legal settings.
• Proficiency in legal writing and strong analytical abilities.
• Must be admitted to the Bar in both New York and New Jersey.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York and New Jersey State Bar (required).
