Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview
A reputable law firm in Waldorf, MD is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. This opportunity involves working in a collaborative and client-focused environment, handling personal injury and workers' compensation cases. Duties

  • Manage personal injury and workers' compensation cases independently
  • Represent clients in District and Circuit courts, as well as before the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission
  • Negotiate settlements for injured workers and motor vehicle collision victims
  • Assist with discovery processes for various case types
  • Conduct client interviews through in-person, virtual, or telephonic meetings
  • Draft legal pleadings and write memos related to personal injury and workers' compensation appeals
  • Collaborate with the team on community outreach events
  • Handle additional tasks as assigned by the firm

Requirements

  • Active Maryland Bar license or pending bar passage for the Maryland Bar
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload
  • Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a focus on delivering results
  • Trial experience preferred, with additional licenses (DC, Virginia Bar) being a plus

Education

  • Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Must hold or be in the process of obtaining a Maryland Bar license
