Associate Attorney needed for Astoria office

Location:

Duties:

• Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, with a focus on construction law
• Handle litigation cases for general contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers, architects, and engineers
• Manage transactional work, including reviewing and drafting AIA contracts and handling mechanic liens
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
• Provide legal advice and strategy to clients on construction and commercial litigation matters
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex legal cases
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as required

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong focus on construction law
• Experience representing clients in the construction industry, including contractors and developers
• Familiarity with AIA contracts and mechanic lien procedures
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work in a fast-paced legal environment
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar

Skills:

• Proficiency in handling commercial litigation and transactional matters
