Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm in Boston, MA, seeks an experienced attorney to join its Long-Term Care & Health Care practice group. This role focuses on regulatory and risk-management matters, including licensing, compliance, appeals, and transactions in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate or litigation law, with a strong interest in health care regulations.

Duties:

  • Provide legal guidance on licensing, survey and certification, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, and related regulatory issues.
  • Review contracts, advise on ownership changes, and assist with administrative law judge (ALJ) appeals.
  • Stay updated on evolving healthcare laws and contribute insights to clients and firm initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Work collaboratively with legal teams across practice areas to ensure comprehensive client support.
  • Actively participate in client meetings, presentations, and business development efforts.
  • Meet a minimum annual billable hour requirement of 1800 hours.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate or litigation law (health care experience preferred).
  • Candidates with less experience but a strong interest in healthcare law and a willingness to learn will be considered.
  • Admission to the bar in Massachusetts, New York, or Connecticut (the ability to waive into other jurisdictions is a plus).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing.
