A law firm seeks a seasoned securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in New York City. This professional-track role, which does not lead to partnership, is aimed at an attorney experienced in handling structured securities offerings, particularly within commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will represent a diverse array of clients, including REITs, public and private real estate companies, and institutional investors, in complex transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, financings, and property developments.

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage structured securities offerings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with client objectives.
  • Advise and represent clients in a variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financings, and development projects.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel on real estate finance and investment structuring to support client portfolio goals.
  • Work closely with clients, partners, and cross-disciplinary teams to facilitate smooth transaction execution.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support sophisticated financial transactions and regulatory compliance efforts.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings, with a focus on commercial real estate law.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and best practices for real estate investment structuring.
  • Prior experience with a reputable law firm, ideally within the AmLaw 100.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the New York State Bar.
