A law firm seeks a highly experienced securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in Raleigh, NC. This professional-track (non-partnership) role is best suited for an attorney skilled in handling structured securities offerings within the realm of commercial real estate. The successful candidate will work with a diverse client base, including real estate investment trusts (REITs), public and private companies, and institutional investors, across a variety of transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, financings, and property developments.

Duties:

  • Manage structured securities offerings, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and client objectives.
  • Represent clients in a wide array of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, restructurings, financing arrangements, and property development.
  • Provide strategic guidance on investment structuring and real estate finance to support client portfolio goals.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient transaction processes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support sophisticated financial transactions and ensure compliance with relevant laws.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience managing structured securities offerings, with an emphasis on commercial real estate.
  • Proficiency in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and best practices in real estate investment structuring.
  • Prior experience with a top-tier law firm, preferably within the AmLaw 100.
  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
