A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate finance litigation and related transactions. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest or experience in this area of law, along with strong research, writing, and communication skills. Bankruptcy litigation experience is desirable. Stellar academic credentials and Bar admission in Maryland are required.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on issues related to commercial real estate finance litigation and bankruptcy litigation.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including discovery requests and responses, document productions, protective orders, and motions.
  • Manage and coordinate discovery projects, including drafting requests, handling document productions, and managing deposition logistics.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of motions, including drafting simple motions and supporting complex motion processes.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy and legal matters.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Maryland State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate finance litigation and related transactions.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in bankruptcy litigation preferred.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
