Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO.
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Prepare and file responses to office actions and other USPTO communications.
• Collaborate with clients and inventors to gather technical information and understand invention disclosures.
• Perform prior art searches and analyze patent landscapes.
• Provide technical and legal advice related to patent rights and strategies.
• Support the firm’s litigation and transactional practices with patent expertise.
• Stay updated on advancements in intellectual property law and relevant scientific fields.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a patent agent.
• PhD (or MD) in organic, medicinal, or related fields.
• USPTO registration number is required.
