Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its Missouri practice. Specializing in real estate and creditors' rights law, the firm is committed to delivering exceptional legal services to clients, including banks, mortgage servicers, investors, and financial institutions. This role offers the opportunity to manage a substantial caseload, engage in courtroom proceedings, and contribute to the firm's growth and community engagement.

Duties

• Oversee a high volume of cases in creditors' rights law.
• Conduct discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution.
• Prepare and review legal documents related to real estate and creditor litigation.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, requiring occasional travel.
• Handle appellate matters, as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry stakeholders to establish trust and collaboration.
• Stay informed on applicable laws, including TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code.
• Contribute to the firm's reputation and strategic growth by delivering superior legal services.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Missouri Bar and in good standing.
• Ability to secure licensing in Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts, if not already licensed.
• A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience is preferred (applications from newly licensed attorneys will be considered).
• Proficiency in handling discovery, depositions, and other pre-trial procedures.
• Familiarity with the Missouri legal system.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service and exercising sound legal judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Missouri State Bar membership.
• Additional state Bar licenses are advantageous.
