Duties:

  • Advise on employment and labor law issues in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, disclosure schedules, and drafting employment-related representations.
  • Draft executive employment agreements and separation agreements for deal-related transactions.
  • Review and draft workplace policies, employee handbooks, and work rules for national employers.
  • Provide practical legal advice to management-side clients on various workplace laws, such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ADEA, NLRA, and WARN Act.
  • Manage client engagements with a high level of responsibility, ensuring client satisfaction and successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver industry-leading legal services.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in employment and labor law.
  • Strong legal writing and oral communication skills.
  • Superior analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating with the team.
  • Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills to maintain excellent client relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar where the position is located.

Skills:

  • Experience in employment and labor law within the context of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proficiency in drafting employment agreements and workplace policies.
  • Deep understanding of workplace regulations, including ADA, FMLA, and FLSA.
