Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with approximately 3 years of experience to join their team in Moorestown, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in evaluating cases, legal research, and litigation practices. They should possess strong skills in drafting pleadings, handling depositions and discovery, and representing clients in court and arbitration. The role involves establishing working relationships with Trustees of benefit funds and Labor Union leaders. Membership in the New Jersey Bar is required, with membership in the Pennsylvania and/or New York Bar being a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate cases on an ongoing basis and engage in discussions with clients regarding case strategy and developments.
• Conduct legal research and interpret contracts to support case preparation and litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Manage depositions and discovery processes, including preparation and review of documents.
• Handle motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions in court.
• Represent clients in court appearances and arbitrations, ensuring effective advocacy and presentation.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with Trustees of benefit funds and Labor Union leaders to facilitate case resolution and client advocacy.

Requirements:

• Preferably 3 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on case evaluation, legal research, and courtroom practice.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents, handling depositions and discovery, and motion practice.
• Strong ability to represent clients effectively in court and arbitration settings.
• Established working relationships or experience with Trustees of benefit funds and Labor Union leaders is beneficial.
• Membership in the New Jersey Bar is required.
• Membership in the Pennsylvania and/or New York Bar is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic performance and relevant coursework in litigation and legal research.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in the state of New Jersey.
• Additional certifications or bar memberships in Pennsylvania and/or New York are advantageous.
