A law firm is seeking a diligent and experienced Litigation Attorney to join their litigation practice in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and managing litigation files from inception through trial. This role involves preparing motions, memorandums of law, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses, as well as drafting reports and providing comprehensive file analysis. The attorney will also be required to make court and arbitration appearances.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and manage litigation files from inception through trial.
  • Prepare and draft motions and memorandums of law.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery demands, and responses.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide comprehensive file analysis.
  • Draft detailed and accurate reports on case status and developments.
  • Appear in court and arbitration proceedings to represent clients.
  • Develop case strategies and manage all phases of litigation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure cohesive case management.
  • Mentor junior associates and support staff as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage litigation files independently and effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience with court and arbitration appearances.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
