The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in U.S. federal income tax matters, with a strong academic background and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-office tax and corporate transactional teams to provide integrated legal support.
  • Advise clients on complex U.S. federal income tax issues related to corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related agreements and documents.
  • Conduct detailed tax research and analysis to support corporate strategies and ensure compliance.
  • Structure transactions to enhance tax efficiency and comply with federal tax regulations.
  • Manage client relationships, offering clear and effective communication regarding tax matters.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, and provide clients with informed advice.
  • Participate in strategic planning and discussions related to tax and corporate issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of law firm experience with a focus on U.S. federal income tax matters.
  • Strong academic credentials, including a JD from an accredited law school.
  • Proven experience handling complex tax-related legal issues and corporate transactions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Colorado Bar (or eligibility to obtain admission).
  • Certification or specialization in tax law is preferred but not required.
