Location:

  • Irving, TX

Duties:

  • Handle a substantial caseload within the field of creditors' rights, including foreclosure and bankruptcy cases
  • Manage discovery processes, conduct depositions, and resolve conflicts
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including appellate cases
  • Assist in the firm’s efforts to expand its market presence
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships within the industry
  • Provide exceptional client support with sound legal judgment
  • Attend court hearings and travel for required meetings and appearances

Requirements:

  • Must be a member in good standing of the Illinois Bar
  • 5+ years of litigation experience preferred, but newly licensed attorneys are welcome to apply
  • Ability to manage and handle a high volume of cases in creditors' rights law
  • Knowledge and experience with discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution
  • Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred
  • Appellate experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior attorneys
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional reputation
  • Must be willing to travel for court appearances and client meetings

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Illinois State Bar is required
  • Additional Bar licenses are considered a plus
